My boys are nuts over Fruit Roll-Ups and their Momma doesn't complain about eating them either! They are fun, and yummy. Even though the snacks are a great gift, I am even more excited about the $25 donation on my behalf.
"Kids know how much fun it is to win, but they also understand the importance of giving to others and want to help make a difference in the world. Now they have a chance to both win and give with Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snacks.
With specially marked boxes of kid favorites – including Fruit Roll-Ups, Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, and Stickerz &; Shapes – your child could win one laptop to keep and Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snacks will donate another to a child in Africa.
Each day from now through May 30, 2010, one laptop prize will be awarded to a U.S. winner. For every laptop won, one laptop will be donated to an African child through One Laptop per Child, an organization that creates educational opportunities for the world’s poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning. For your chance to win, simply enter the unique online code printed on participating Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snack packages on www.WinOneGiveOne.com. "

My children always enjoy helping "grandma Kate" with whatever she may be doing. Carry groceries, yard work, they always offer a helping hand.
When I lived in California, I regularly spent time with a single mom I kew who was having hard time raising her three young children. Upon my suggestion, we once took a trip to Monterey and unexpectedly found a carnival. In addition, we parked on a side street along to coast and were enthralled when a family of deer came into view. These were encounters that she and her children were rarely if ever able to experience. We all had a blast and enjoyed that day of relaxation and surprises.

Thanks for the giveaway!
My kids just helped me go through our garage sale bins and put together 6 garbage bags of summer clothes to donate to Haiti (our church has crates set up from a charity).

We set up a neighborhood food drive drop box. I send out an email before Thanksgiving, Christmas and 4th of July. We've had a pretty good result but it's really taught the kids that what they have is a luxury and that others aren't so lucky. They are happy to help out!

We make donations every 3 months- and that means that my kids have to pick something of theirs to donate as well! Now, my kids actually look forward to making another kid really excited about their old toys!

I have really enjoyed using Kiva to help others (huge plus that you also get your money back in the end)!
