There was a pop up on the computer monitor that said the cartridges were running low and to change them when the photos were no longer printing correctly. In ways I like it says to only quit printing when they no longer look correct, because then you know you have got every drop you can out of the ink, but on the other hand, printing a photo that doesn't look correctly only wastes ink in your other colors. It would be good if it told you exactly when it was totally out of ink.
Oh in case you didn't know, you can recycle your empty ink cartridges by contacting HP HERE, or you can take them to Staples and get $3 in rewards.
I had a few issues with the Kodak when I started printing my photos today. I may not have had the photo paper pushed back as far as I needed it to be, but I printed a photo 3x and all 3x it printed on regular paper instead of the photo paper. I checked each time to make sure I had the settings correct. I took the photo paper out, put it back in and made sure I had it pushed back all the way, and it printed correctly the next time. It didn't give me any warning that it was out of photo paper or that the paper wasn't in there correctly, it just printed on the wrong paper.
The other day when the HP was out of paper, it gave me no warning at all that it was out of paper, it just quit printing all together. Today the lights on the printer flashed and there was a pop up on the computer monitor. Also one of the sheets was in upside down and it flashed that it was inserted incorrectly. Then it spit out the sheet that was in upside down. It didn't attempt to print on it, so I was able to flip it over, and put it in right-side-up. No wasted paper is a good thing.
That is all for now.
