I got up early (well early for me), drug out the pattern, cut it out, and then reach for the instructions. THERE ARE NONE! I must of grabbed the only pattern that didnt have instructions. Oh man.. Good think I had a pretty good idea of how to do it anyway. I googled how to make a vest, just to be sure. I found THIS video tutorial, and THIS forum post goes along with it. The chaps I didnt do any lining. I just made sure to sew around the edges to keep the fraying to a minimun. You could always surge them if you have a surger. Or you could use felt/fleece or some other material that doesnt fray.
SEVERAL hours later.. Im done with 2 cowboy costumes. One a size 4/5 and one a 7/8. Both needed altering to fit the boys.
Here is Bailey (size 7/8). He says he is Indiana Jones from Texas.
This is both of them. Dalton wasnt too happy about having his pic taken. lol.
Please ignore my messy house. The boys turned it upside down while I spent hours behind the sewing machine. Boys will be boys! Better pics tomorrow maybe. These were taken in the dark house with my sucky Kodak. I may break out the Xti tomorrow for a photoshoot.
